Let His Word Move In

What does it mean for a word to live inside you? Paul tells the Colossians to allow Christ's message to take up permanent residence within them. This isn't a passive reading of a text. It is a deep internal saturation that overflows into community life. It expresses itself through wise instruction, mutual correction, and heartfelt worship. The source of this entire dynamic is the indwelling Word, and its result is a life filled with gratitude toward God. This is not a private activity but a shared reality.

God does not want you to simply know about Him. He wants you to know Him. He gave you His Word not as a rulebook but as a means of fellowship with His Son. As you allow Scripture to fill your mind, the Holy Spirit uses it to shape your heart. John Chrysostom saw Scripture as a place where all wisdom could be found. This wisdom is not about being clever. It is the wisdom of knowing Christ and living in light of His love. You can trust that as His Word finds a home in you, He will build a life of faithfulness.
