Observation
Have you ever felt betrayed by your own body? Paul describes a future moment, swift as the twinkling of an eye, when everything changes (1 Cor 15:52). At the sound of the last trumpet, a divine signal, two things happen at once. The dead in Christ are raised, and those who are alive are changed. The key is the nature of this change. What is perishable and mortal is completely remade. This is not an escape from the body but its total, glorious restoration. God’s final victory over death is physical.
Reflection
Your body is not a temporary shell to be discarded. God has a future for it. God’s power is not just for the soul, but for the body too. He will remake it. The aches, the weakness, the brokenness you feel now will not have the last word. God promises to clothe you with an imperishable body, one fit for eternity with Him. This is not a distant wish. It is a certain hope you can hold onto today. What pain can you entrust to the God who promises to make you whole?

Prayer
Father, thank you for the promise that my body will be raised incorruptible. Help me to honor you with my body today, trusting that you will one day make it new. Let this hope anchor my soul in every trial. Amen.
