The Strength Found in Stillness
but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not be faint. — Isaiah 40:31

Observation
Do you believe your strength comes from doing more? Isaiah speaks to a weary, exiled people who felt forgotten by God. Their strength was gone. He offers a stunning contrast. While even the young and strong will fail, there is a source of power that never runs out. This strength is not earned by effort. It is received by waiting. The promise is a complete reversal of their condition: they will soar, run, and walk without tiring. It is a divine exchange of our weakness for His limitless power.
Reflection
God is not asking you to work harder for Him. He is inviting you to rest in Him. Your weariness does not disqualify you; it qualifies you for His strength. He sees you when you feel you cannot take another step. This promise is for you today. He will lift you up. He will carry you forward. Trust that His power is made perfect in your weakness (2 Cor. 12:9). The world tells you to hustle. God tells you to hope. What one burden can you release to Him now, trusting Him to carry it for you?

Where are you trying to run ahead of God instead of waiting for His strength to carry you?
Prayer
Father, I confess my tendency to strive in my own strength. Forgive me for my impatience and teach me how to truly wait on You. Renew my spirit and lift me on Your wings. Amen.
