The Life That Never Dies

Jesus does not offer a teaching about resurrection; He claims to be it. Martha believed in a future resurrection, a correct doctrine for the last day. But Jesus brings that future hope directly into her present grief. He corrects her understanding by revealing that resurrection is not just an event, but a person. He Himself is the source of all life, both now and for eternity (John 11:25-26). Her hope was placed in the right thing, but she limited it to the wrong time.

Your hope in the face of death is not a what, but a Who. It is not an idea or a philosophy, but a person. Jesus invites you to place your trust entirely in Him. Because He is life itself, death has no final power over those who belong to Him. The grave is not your final destination. It is simply a doorway into the fullness of the life you already possess in Christ. Will you anchor your hope for today and for eternity in the person of Jesus?

Lord Jesus, You are my resurrection and my life. Help me to believe this not just for my future, but for my present fears. Anchor my heart completely in Your unfailing promise. Amen.
