Required to Be Found Faithful

What does God truly require of you today? Paul is not trying to be impressive. He is defining his role. He is a servant of Christ and a steward of God's mysteries. In that culture, a steward managed the entire household for the owner. He did not own anything himself. His one non-negotiable requirement was not talent or charm, but reliability. He had to be found faithful in managing his master’s affairs. Paul’s point is that his performance is judged by his Master, Jesus, not by public opinion.

God has entrusted things to you. Your time, your family, your resources, and the good news of Jesus. He is not asking you to be successful in the world's eyes. He is asking you to be faithful. A steward is not the master, but simply a servant. This truth is freeing. It means the results are not your burden to carry. Your only responsibility is to be reliable with what is in your hand. Since God Himself is always faithful to you, you can trust Him to provide all you need to do what He asks. What one small area is God asking you to be faithful in today?

Ask yourself not “Am I successful?” but “Am I being faithful with what God has given me right now?”

Father, thank You for entrusting anything to me when I deserve nothing. Help me to be a trustworthy steward of Your grace, not for my own name but for Yours. Make me reliable in the small things today. Amen.
